Gunner's Protection Kit (GPK)
SMH provided engineering support and hardware during several design iterations to optimize a protection kit that was eventually deployed on over 15,000 Humvees in Iraq and Afghanistan. Lead times were significantly shortened in order to accommodate aggressive delivery schedules.

Blast Shields
SMH utilized its knowledge of GPK systems to provide engineering support and hardware for Stryker Blast Shields. The prototypes were designed to protect turret-mounted personnel from improvised explosive devices. SMH provided required hardware in less than 30 days, enabling the kits to be deployed and tested in expeditiously.
