Vehicle Common Armor Manufacturing Program (VCAMP)
This R&D program utilized new manufacturing techniques and materials to develop and prototype reactive armor structures. The program proved that a single manufacturing method could be used to construct reactive armor tiles in various materials that would improve strength and reduce weight.

Steel to Titanium Research Program
SMH provided engineering, program, and technical support to a specialty steel mill that produced titanium source material from scrap input. The source material was qualified as equal to the specifications required by the Army. Adoption of this technique could lead to greater availability of titanium from scrap sources, reducing cost to the government and producing the same level of quality.
